Avengers: Infinity War will be the 19th installment in Marvel’s cinematic universe and it has been 10 years in the making.

In a public tweet-thread with Robert Downey Jr., Marvel revealed that the once believed May 4 released film will be releasing an entire week earlier for fans worldwide, April 27.

The final reveal highlights “Fantastic” in all bold letters. Disney is currently in the process of trying to acquire 21 Century Fox, who currently own the film rights to many of Marvel’s characters including the Fantastic Four. Maybe the final tweet between Marvel and Robert Downey Jr. was possibly a tease to what is to come but the reveal is a huge surprise nonetheless.

Infinity War was already set for release on April 27 across Europe. Marvel’s films typically release a week prior to the United States. But now everyone will be able to enjoy the Marvel epic across the world together.

Avengers: Infinity War stars Robert Downey Jr, Chris Evans, Chadwick Boseman, Scarlett Johansson and Josh Brolin alongside a plethora of MCU alumni. The film hits theaters April 27 worldwide.
