Last night, Super Bowl LI was live for the millions to see the New England Patriots and the Atlanta Falcons compete for the championship in the National Football League’s first overtime in NFL history. Spoiler – the Patriots pulled off the craziest comeback ever. Whether you were watching the big game to root for your favorite team, watching Lady Gaga’s halftime performance or seeing the 2017’s newest commercials, a wealth of brand-new movie trailers teased all kinds of sure blockbusters. Check out these trailer spots!

Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2

Marvel released a better look at the ragtag band of misfits in the big game spot of James Gunn’s Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2. In this trailer, we see more of Micheal Rooker’s Yondu, Karen Gillan’s Nebula and Pom Klementieff’s Mantis alongside the main characters of the 2014 hit. Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 will be coming to theaters May 5, 2017.


Directed by James Mangold, Logan is Hugh Jackman’s last portrayal of Wolverine in the final installment of the Wolverine trilogy. While this trailer spot may only be 30 seconds long, we do get to see more action shots of Logan, X-23 and we even get a quick glimpse of Stephen Merchant’s Caliban. This rated-R adaptation of “Old Man Logan” will be coming to theaters before you know it on March 3, 2017.

A Cure for Wellness

Director of The Ring, Gore Verbinski will be releasing his new psychological horror film – A Cure for Wellness. Starring Dane DeHaan, A Cure for Wellness follows a young executive who becomes diagnosed and held in a remote wellness center when he only arrived as a visitor. This visually stunning film will be coming to theaters on February 17, 2017.

The Fate of the Furious

The eighth installment of the Fast and Furious franchise has released another action-packed Super Bowl LI spot. We see the fast family divided when Vin Diesel’s Dominic Toretto turns his back on his friends and family. This high-octane franchise has yet to slow down and continues to top themselves with every sequel. The Fate of the Furious will be coming to theaters April 14, 2017.


We have seen many classic shows revived in the film format in recent years. And there is no sign of it stopping anytime soon. Baywatch is the next show to get its very own theatrical release later this year. Starring (The Rock) Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron, Paramount Pictures released a 30-second trailer spot of the many beach lifeguard antics that will be hitting theaters May 26, 2017.

Ghost in the Shell

Directed by Rupert Sanders, Paramount released a 30-second teaser of the anime brought to life – Ghost in the Shell. While this trailer spot doesn’t lend much detail to the story, it does show quite a bit of the action and Scarlett Johansson’s portrayal of The Major. This visually captivating adaptation of the anime of the same name will be coming to theaters March 31, 2017.

Transformers: The Last Knight

The fifth installment of Michael Bay’s Transformers delivers a darker look at next film in the franchise. Reportedly, as Michael Bay’s final film helming the series, he doesn’t seem to be pulling any punches. Starring Mark Wahlberg and Anthony Hopkins, this sure to be summer epic will be hitting theaters June 23, 2017.

Stranger Things 2

Last year, Netflix premiered what has since become a phenomenon with the first season of Stranger Things. This 80’s-inspired episodic series has gripped everyone. It has left us all wanting more. Last night, during Super Bowl LI, Netflix released a quick glimpse of the seemingly darker second season of Stranger Things. This teaser introduces new threats for our characters. Stranger Things 2 will be coming to Netflix October 31, 2017.
