Since its release in May of 2016, Overwatch has been quite generous with the release of new content. BlizzCon 2017 announced the release of a new hero, Moira, along with the new map, Blizzard World.

Both additions add to the impressive lineups for the game. They are sure to make tournaments more diverse and interesting. These announcements are amid the Overwatch World Cup, proving that this machine isn’t slowing down anytime soon.

Moira

The healer who also packs a DPS punch, Moira, will be the 26th hero to join the Overwatch lineup. Her mad scientist bag of tricks provides an impressive number of mechanics. There are short and long-range options for both damage and healing.

Finally, high mobility makes Moira a considerable threat with in more ways than one.

It will be exciting to see where she fits into the current meta.

If her playstyle wasn’t cool enough, Moira also has an engrossing backstory. In true Overwatch fashion, they have done a fantastic job weaving in her story with the rest of the characters. It appears that she is the source of the abilities for many Blackwatch members.

No wonder she is such a badass!

Blizzard World

Did you ever want a Blizzard-themed equivalent to Disney World? Well, it looks like the folks in charge of Overwatch sure have. And boy, did they deliver!

The newest map is a huge amusement park themed after different Blizzard intellectual properties. All major games including Warcraft, StarCraft, Diablo and Heroes of the Storm appear in different portions of the map.

Currently, there are no solid release dates for either Moira or Blizzard World. However, both should hit the PTRs soon.

After rounds in the PTR, Moira will hit both PC and console. You can expect the map to hit sometime early 2018. For more information, keep an eye on the official Overwatch website!
