The Paragon Challenger Series has announced its first ever charity brawl, in support of Special Effect, a charity that helps those with disabilities to enjoy and connect with computer games.
On January 6th, two teams of PCS players will duke it out in a variety of creative game modes thought up by the community. These modes range from AMAM ( all melee heroes, all mid lane) in which nobody can leave the middle lane and the game must be won by taking down the enemy core, to a 1v1 “fight club”. The teams will be the standard 5 versus 5 from Paragon, however the players are selected by the community via a vote! Each voter can place a vote for who they want to see in the off-lane role, midlane, support role and carry role. Junglers were preselected due to ranging availability.
Special Effect is a U.K based charity that focuses on helping adults and children with physical and motor disabilities to still be able to enjoy video games just like you or I. In their words –
“By using technology ranging from modified joypads to eye-control, we’re finding a way for people to play to the very best of their abilities.
But we’re not just doing it for fun. By levelling the playing field, we’re bringing families and friends together and having a profoundly positive impact on therapy, confidence and rehabilitation”
All money donated for the PCS Charity Brawl goes directly to Special Effect, helping change lives. Tune in to the Paragon Challenger Series Twitch channel on January 6th to catch all the action and mayhem!
