Now that the excitement has settled a bit, here’s a brief recap of this past weekend’s Rocket League Championship Series (RLCS). The journey is at the cusp of an important moment in gaming and e-sports. Over the past two weekends the e-sports community witnessed ups and downs, improvements, and greatness for the most part. The Rocket League Championship Series has continued to prove it’s relevance, especially after witnessing the performance of all those involved during Group Stage.

The Group Stage matches were Round Robin scheduled. There was a new face who joined us, Scott Cole, an ESPN broadcaster. We also got to meet and see some of the players during interviews (see above) such as “Kronovi” (left) from iBuyPowerCosmic & “Amoney” (right) from SelflessGG formerly known as Chemistry. The announcement was a surprise but it seemed like a good one.
“Ryu” of SelflessGG shared an official statement May 9th making it official this would be their first expansion into Rocket League aside from their pro CS:GO teams.

I’m really excited to announce our first expansion beyond pro CS:GO with the signing of the Rocket League team formerly known as Team Chemistry. The players for this team are:

  • Anthony “AMONEY” Neve
  • Matthew “Matt” Dixon
  • Emiliano “Sizz” Benny

The team is currently competing in Qualifier 1 of the Rocket League Championship Series, where they are presently in the top 8. We’ll be updating the player information under our Teams section in the coming days, so be sure to check it out and give them a follow on their social media and stream links–  AMONEY streams regularly over at https://www.twitch.tv/amoney_tv

In addition, keep an eye out for several more announcements from us in the coming weeks as we continue to build and grow the Selfless Pride.

If you missed out on the games from last weekend and need to catch up, you can watch all of the VODs on Twitch.
