Psyonix knows how to get Rocket League fans into the game with new arenas, custom banners, and DLC cars. On October 11th, fans can purchase the ’70 Dodge Charger and ’99 Nissan Skyline GT-R.
Shift Into Action
Psyonix has paired up with Universal Pictures, Dodge, and Nissan for the appropriate rights to use officially licensed Fast & Furious cars. Car fanatics have flocked to this movie franchise, which centers around creating innovative cars. The Fast & Furious franchise began with Rob Cohen then Justin Lin, but Vin Diesel carried on the series through his own production company, One Race Films.
The two new battle cars available for purchase on October 11th are the 1970 Dodge Charger R/T and the 1999 Nissan Skyline GT-R R34. These are the two cars from 2 Fast 2 Furious that Rocket League fans will be able to buy for $1.99 USD each. Both cars will have their own engine sounds, wheels, and decals. All of these decals can be viewed on the official Rocket League website. In the real world, the Dodge Charger R/T is a rear wheel drive car, and can accelerate from 0-60 in 5.2 seconds depending on its specific package. It is a manual shift, four gear model which is great for controlling how quickly the vehicle can go. More information on the car specifications can be found here.
The Skyline GT-R R34 is comparable to the Dodge Charger as an all-wheel drive and 6-speed car. It can accelerate from 0-60 in 5.2 seconds. Take a look at the full specifications on the Skyline through the link.
While these cars will not have these specifications in Rocket League, they are both cars that are beloved by Fast & Furious fans.
Race to the Finish
These new DLC cars will be available on all major platforms including the Nintendo Switch later in the year.
