Update: Allison Road developers & Team17 statement release, Wednesday June 15th 2016.

Hi all,
After a long consideration between Team17 and ourselves, we have reached a mutual agreement to end our collaboration on publishing Allison Road under Team17’s Games label.
Sometime things pan out differently than expected as game development and publishing have so many layers of complexity… We’d like to especially thank everyone for their support through-out, it has and will always be appreciated!

Allison Road, developed by UK Studio Lilith, Ltd.,  started out as a Kickstarter project back in 2015. Following the heels of crazy-scary, the “Playable Teaser” (P.T.) Silent Hills (also cancelled), Allison Road planned to pick up where P.T. left off. Konami fans from all over rejoiced when Allison Road was announced.

The news comes fresh from the Allison Road twitter page.
Reading those words this morning, 15 hours after the tweet was posted made my heart sink. The developers promise an official statement is to be released in a few days. The joy of a brand new horror game doesn’t compare to normal new releases. Survival Horror is especially hard to get right. Allison Road, in the few trailers and game play we’ve seen, sends the right chills, goosebumps, nightmares, and terrifying images that replay in the dark places in your mind.
“What would you do if you could feel something stalking you in the dark, in the safety of your own home? If you couldn’t tell what’s real and what’s not?”
Below we share some photos of Allison Road’s eerie environment.

In case you missed it, the few videos of game play that we’ve seen are certainly videos you can’t miss. Put on some headphones, turn the lights off, and be prepared to scroll into the comments!

We’re sad to see Allison Road go. Fingers crossed it comes back.
