Skyrim Special Edition
Five years after its initial release, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim still remains an ever popular game for gamers of all types. At E3 2016, Bethesda recently announced that they will be releasing a new Special Edition.
The Special Edition will be boasting remastered art and effects sure to make any Dragonborn swoon. Another notable addition to Skyrim will be the support of mods for console gamers. Players that still aren’t members of the PC Master Race will be able to modify their copy of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim the same as their PC brethren.
Skyrim Special Edition will be available for PC, PlayStation® 4, and Xbox One on 28th October 2016.
Players that own Skyrim on PC will be able to obtain the Special Edition for free, so long as they currently own either the Legendary Edition or all the Dawnguard, Hearthfire, and Dragonborn expansions on Steam.
Bethesda has been working with iD Software to produce a new-age version of the classic 90s first person shooter Quake. Tim Willis, the iD Studio Director, stated that Quake Champions will be featuring unique characters that have their own special abilites which will allow the gamer to play how they want.
Quake Champions is being promised tournament support from its publisher in a movement to bring the game into competitive esports.
In addition to working on Dishonored 2, Arkane Studios will be releasing the sequel to Prey 2, simply titled Prey for PC, PlayStation® 4, and Xbox One sometime in 2017. The basic title is rumored to be due to the fact that Prey hardly resembles its brother Prey 2. However, the player will still be able to enjoy the thrills of running around a space station to flee from monstrous enemies.
Brethesda is hopping on the virtual reality bandwagon and will soon be producing games that will be playable on HTC Vive. Fallout 4 is going to be one of first games that Brethesda will release that will immerse the player into its own virtual world. How well the player will be able to enjoy a VR version of Fallout 4 is still up in the air. But speculation is that the developers will not let fans of the Fallout series down.
Fallout 4 VR will be released sometime in 2017.
Finally more news has been released about Dishonored 2. The game will be taking place in the fantasy city of Karnaca. Players will have the option to play as Emily Kaldwin or Corvo Attano, who was the previous protagonist in Dishonored.
Empress Emily Kaldwin is dethroned and becomes an outlaw in her society. She chooses to follow the footsteps of her protector Corvo Attano to become an assassin in a mission to reclaim her title.
Dishonored 2 will be available on PC, PlayStation® 4, and Xbox One 11 November 2016. In addition to the regular copy, a collectors edition will also be available for purchase that will include game-related loot.
