2K Games unveiled today that the Indiana Pacer’s three-time All Star shooting guard Paul George is on the cover of NBA 2k17.

The athlete had an amazing comeback this season averaging a career best 23.1 points after overcoming an injury riddled season the year prior. George broke his leg in the off season during a Team USA scrimmage. He later came back in the season only to injure his knees in six games and in the final game of the Pacer’s season as they failed to make the playoffs. He helped his team get back into the playoffs in 2015-16 and into the second round of the playoffs where the Pacer’s lost a tough series to the Toronto Raptors.

“I have been playing NBA 2K as long as I can remember, and to be honored as cover athlete of NBA 2K17 is a blessing and vote of confidence that my hard work on and off the court has paid off, I’m excited to partner with 2K and hope to help take the franchise to the next level”. -Paul George

“Paul is a natural fit for the cover and a true embodiment of what we represent and bring to the table for gamers and basketball fans alike.” – Alfie Brodie Vice President of Market for 2K
