Crews loves Overwatch so much, he visited Blizzard’s HQ. Hopefully meeting about voicing for the next rumored playable hero, Doomfist.
Terry Crews recently shared the hint on his Twitter account asking his fans, “Who wants to hear me do the voice of Doomfist for real??“. Is this a hint or just a rally to get the fans in on the hype?

If you don’t know who Terry Crews is, shame on you. Terry Crews is an actor, former NFL player and quite the hilarious personality. Crews is known for his roles as “Julius” from Everybody Hates Chris. Also, he’s appeared in Old Spice commercials (directed by Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim) playing music with his massive pecs.
Not only is Terry Crews a fan of Overwatch but his website is dedicated to all things fitness, gaming, positivity, and more. The news comes straight from his website, Artbuff.co. The possibility that Crews will possibly voice the next hero, Doomfist is truly awesome and exciting.
“LOVED my visit with the geniuses at BLIZZARD ENTERTAINMENT today, and meeting the creators of one of my favorite games! OVERWATCH! LETS GO!” – Terry Crews
Imagine Crews recording voice lines for Doomfist for a second… Yes, “let’s go” is right! The legendary Doomfist is a badass wielding a terrifying gauntlet. Adding Crews to the roster of voice-overs would be a dream come true.
Who is Doomfist?
Doomfist is a character with a backstory created by Chris Metzen known for his impeccable scripting with Blizzard (recently retired). Originally thought to be an insignificant character, fans took to debunking theories of determining who/what exactly the Doomfist character will be.
As most players have probably seen, at the Museum in the Numbani map, you can find three versions of Doomfist on posters.
An analytical video via Curse, theorizes the embodiment of Doomfist. We learn Doomfist may not only be the name of the new rumored hero but rather a title the character has inherited.
The three versions of Doomfist are broken down courtesy of Curse Entertainment:
The Savior: Adhabu Ngumi which literally translates to “Doom Fist”. The Scourge: Akinjide Adeyemi which translates from Swahili to “The strong one has returned – The crown fits me”. As there is no direct translation of the first and second name for The Successor, the descriptor shows an “Omnic” (AI robots produced by Omniums) translation. The Omnic translation shows a silhouette of the latest version of Doomfist who of which may not even be human. Which one will we see if the character becomes playable in the hopefully very near future?
If the hints aren’t true, we’re certainly hoping they are. Terry Crews as Doomfist would be a stellar addition to the Overwatch hero roster. Hopefully we’ll know more about the news sooner than later, we’ll keep you updated as the news develops.
