Smite and Playstation: Together At Last!
The third-person MOBA, Smite, has been a favorite of over 14 million players worldwide. Its creators at Hi-Rez Studios originally developed it for the PC back in 2014 before expanding it to Xbox One in August of 2015. Now you might be wondering, “Well what about PS4?! Is there no love for Playstation fans?” Fear not, because Hi-Rez Studios has officially announced that they will be bringing Smite: Battleground of the Gods to the Playstation 4!
Sign-up for beta was announced several days ago for Smite on the Playstation 4 with closed beta starting in March. As with its PC and Xbox counterparts, it will remain completely free-to-play and all game modes will be available to all players. Each week a free-rotation pool of gods will become playable, as well as 5 additional free gods during beta: Guan Yu, Neith, Ra, Thor, and Ymir.
If you’re a fan of changing the aesthetics of your god, then you’ll be happy to hear that there will be 3 different skins available exclusively for players on the PS4.
- Odin’s “World’s Collide” Skin – Free reward for if you link your Playstation 4 account to your Hi-Rez Studios account.
- Kulkukan’s “Kuku4” Skin – Exclusive to all PS Plus members.
- Ymir’s “C4codemon” Skin – Included in the PS4 Foundry pack which can be purchased during the closed beta.
