Ubisoft recently released a statement announcing a delay for the second episode for South Park: The Fractured But Whole until (potentially) next year.Fractured But Whole

The Fractured But Whole

In 2016, fans felt the excitement as a new South Park game, The Fractured But Whole, would be releasing this year. News of its production launched in June 2016.

After all, fans loved the first title – South Park: The Stick of Truth.

Ubisoft even released a video including behind the scenes of the new game! Stoked fans looked forward to another South Park game. The first game had perfect voice acting and entertaining storylines much like the TV series. Then September rolled around, and Ubisoft delayed the game without reason. Disappointed fans expected the wait to be short. Or so they thought.

History repeats itself as Ubisoft reported their 3rd quarter sales figures and chose to delay the game once more. Again without reason.

While fans may not receive a reason for a delay, Ubisoft at least has a longer timeline to ensure a fantastic game. Until then, we may have to live vicariously through the trailer.

Hopefully, the long delay will provide a spectacular title, but we won’t know until next year. Though, we are hopeful that The Fractured But Whole title doesn’t take as long as they say, but who knows…

What do you think? Will fans get the game sooner than expected now? Will Ubisoft fall flat on their faces? Let us know what you’re thinking in our Discord!

In the meantime, Ubisoft launched their free beta weekend for the game For Honor. Many have already begun playing, so why not you? This is the last day to join!

Until next time.
