On 8 June 2016 Ubisoft announced that Watch Dogs 2 will be available for PC, PlayStation®4, and Xbox One on 15 November 2016.
At E3 today Ubisoft treated fans of the Watch Dogs series with a Gameplay Walkthrough of the Dedsec Infiltration Mission. “In this mission, Dedsec is looking to expose the CEO of popular social media platform, !NViTE, who is using the citizens’ personal data to engineer a corrupt voting process.” – Ubisoft
Watch Dogs 2 takes place in the San Francisco Bay Area. You play as Marcus Holloway, a young hacker who teams up with Dedsec. Dedsec is an infamous group of hackers and with their help you aim to expose the dangers of ctOS 2.0. This program is being used by corrupt corporations to spy and manipulate citizens on an enormous scale. You have also fallen victim to ctOS 2.0 and have been accused of a crime you didn’t commit.
“In Watch Dogs 2, we’re excited to give players a captivating storyline with engaging characters that offers deeper, more meaningful hacking options, a greater variety of gadgets and weapons, and a brand new seamless multiplayer experience that will appeal to fans of the original Watch Dogs as well as players new to the brand.” – Dominic Guay
Players will be able to hack into more than just the city’s infrastructure in Watch Dogs 2. Any person that has a connected device will be at your disposal. This will allow the player to come up with a series of exciting and creative events. Cars, cranes, drones, traffic lights and more will be available for use. Players will also be able to choose between stealth hacking to prevent enemy deaths or being aggressive and fight their way through the game.
