It’s time to get back to school! There is enough to worry about with grades and activities, so it’s time to let tech help to make it easier. We have put together a list of some of the most recommended gadgets to make it through the school year.

USB Battery Pack

Portable power banks are at the top of the must-have list. Not only will these keep electronics going longer, they can be literal life savers when stranded or lost. The thing to look for is the mAh rating. Higher values equals more juice. Pick up a battery at your earliest convenience. This one has some awesome ratings and is priced very well.

USB 3 Drive

While on the topic of USB, a good USB 3 thumb drive or external drive is vital. Rather than keeping everything on a laptop hard drive, it is best to keep a backup handy. Since not everyone has enough data to backup that requires an external drive, USB sticks can take their place. The important thing is to take advantage of USB 3 speeds. Trust me, it makes the world of a difference!

Google Chromecast

When it comes to picking up a streaming device, the Chromecast is hard to beat. Joining the cord cutting movement is a great way to save a few bucks while paying for classes. The biggest advantage of the Chromecast is that it can stream a copy of your phone’s screen to the TV. That means you can enjoy whichever entertainment service you prefer right from your phone on the big screen!

Writing Tablet

Whether it be to scribble some doodles or to use as scratch paper, a writing tablet is handy to have around. These aren’t the smart tablets people are used to having. Instead, they are tools to write on, that clears everything away with a button press. They can reduce costs on paper and pencils or pens, as well as reduce the weight when carrying them around. To top it all off, they’re a whole lot better for the environment.

Sound Canceling Bluetooth Headphones

Campuses can be very noisy places. There’s no better way to escape the noise than by using a nice pair of noise canceling Bluetooth headphones. The key to making it through the day is to find a pair that can last, are comfortable, and preferably can use a cable as a backup. Pick up a pair to enjoy some uninterrupted study time!

Don’t go into the school year unprepared! Picking up some of these items are almost sure to make the year more enjoyable. Do you have any more tech items that fellow students should know about? If so, drop a comment below and let us know!
