For many streamers on Twitch, becoming partnered is a dream that may, at times, seem unattainable. In a blogpost, today Twitch announced that members of the Twitch Affiliate Program will receive their very own subscription buttons starting this week.
“Streaming is fun and games, but it’s also hard work. We recognize our streamers’ dedication and talent, and we’re taking another step forward to ensure Twitch continues to be the best streaming platform in the world for everyone.”
In a three-tier subscription system, Twitch will allow viewers to subscribe to their favorite lesser known streamers for $4.99, $9.99, $24.99 as well as a Twitch Prime subscription option. Affiliates will be allowed one sub emote and two additional emotes for the $9.99 and $24.99 tiers. Affiliates will also be allowed to activate sub-only chat.
Twitch Affiliate Program
Building a community on Twitch isn’t exactly the easiest task. But thanks to the Twitch Affiliate Program, Twitch is helping dedicated streamers on their path to partnership by allowing them to make an earning along the way. The program is welcoming streamers with at least 50 followers, 3 or more concurrent viewers, 7 unique broadcast days and have broadcast for at least 500 minutes in the last 30 days.
